The authorities of Mexico City announced that the capital will remain one more week in the green color of the Epidemiological Traffic Light, due to the times established at the federal level.
The figures presented show a substantial increase in positive cases of Covid-19, especially in the recent four days, despite this the levels of hospitalization and deaths are still at low levels. This trend is in line with international statistics.
During this last week, an average of 72 hospital admissions was registered to the clinical units of Mexico City. On the other hand, the average deaths due to the disease remain at 9 a day.
Vaccines have been an important boost to reduce the risk of developing severe Covid-19 conditions. While in the strongest peaks of infections, when there was no vaccinated population, there was one hospital admission for every 14 positives, while this week there was one hospital admission for every 81 cases.
