Navdeep Bains has reportedly decided not to run for the next election and will no longer be the Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry.
The current Minister of Foreign Affairs, François-Philippe Champagne, will replace Bains, as informed by the CBC, which cites sources who have knowledge of the cabinet mix.
The shakeup is expected to occur on January 12 around 9 a.m. ET, and will be the first virtual cabinet shakeup due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
