Vancouver Canucks assistant team manager Brian Hamilton didn’t realize he had a cancerous neck tumor until he visited Seattle in October.

But an eagle-eyed fan sitting behind the Canucks bench during their Oct. 23 game against the Kraken at the Climate Pledge Arena saw something that worried her.
And now Hamilton would like to find her just to thank her.
The Canucks shared a message on social media Saturday morning asking for help locating the woman, who, according to Hamilton, was sitting behind the bench and caught their eye when she left the bench that night.
“She had her phone glued to the glass,” he told Postmedia on Saturday.

In his message that has spread everywhere, Hamilton said that the woman “changed his life.”
“The message he showed me on his cell phone will be forever etched in my brain and has made a real difference that changed my life and that of my family,” he said.
The woman had noticed a mole on his neck that worried her and urged him to have it checked out by a doctor.
An examination revealed it to be cancerous, a malignant melanoma, and doctors acted quickly to remove the growth.
“Now he’s gone,” said 47-year-old Hamilton.
“I want everyone to know that this is not about me. This is an amazing person who takes the time to notice something worrisome and then finds a way to point it out during the chaos of a hockey game. Trying to get my attention from the stands while doing my work on the Canucks bench, ”he said. “We are looking for this amazing person and we need you to share her with your friends and family to help us find a real life hero so I can express my sincere gratitude.”
