Canirac Puebla will maintain prices after supporting the Package Against Inflation and Famine

Puebla, Pue. Before the Package Against Inflation and Famine (Pacic) of the federal government, the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Spiced Food Industry (Canirac) local is committed to maintaining menu prices, purchasing local supplies and caring for the quality of products.

Carlos Azomoza Alacio, president of the chamber, considered that this plan will help curb the escalation of prices that are not justified, but that in the case of restaurateurs they are assuming, which generates damage to income.

At the same time, he indicated, Canirac requested that the security strategy be improved, especially on highways, which is urgently required due to the rise in transport robberies.

“The increase in grain production and the corn reserve are issues that, if achieved, will curb what farmers and the restaurant industry currently absorb, so these measures within the Pacific constitute a good message,” he deepened.

He commented that the entrepreneurs of the sector lived in uncertainty due to the excessive increase in inputs of all industries, which was reflected in a chain effect.

Azomoza Alacio emphasized that, through the territory of Puebla, a highway with risks crosses, which brings the center of the country closer to the south-southeast.

Although Canirac saw among its partners a price change in menu costs, these were in line with inflation to take care of consumption, which oscillates with average sales of 50 percent.

The Pueblan leader trusted that this measure by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador will give quick results for the good of restaurateurs and consumers.

In addition, he hopes that other non-unionized businesses in the sector will adopt similar measures and that the local gastronomic industry will see better income starting this month.
