Sean Farrell, who was the Canadiens’ 2020 fourth-round draft pick, was one of 25 players named to Team USA on Thursday. Farrell is a rookie left winger at Harvard and has 19 points, including eight goals in 13 games. Last season, he played for the Chicago Steel in the USHL and put up 101 points in 53 games.
Brian O’Neill, who is one of five players in the KHL, is the only returning Olympian from the 2018 team.
A total of seven players will bring NHL experience to the Team USA lineup, led by Nick Shore, who has played 299 games, and Steven Kampfer, who has played 231 NHL regular season games.
