Edward Rogers wants to remove five members of the board of Rogers Communications Inc. and replace them with nominees of his own choosing. Will that end up happening?
That’s what a BC Supreme Court will decide when the Rogers dispute goes before a judge later today at 1pm.
Edward is chairman of a family trust that controls 97.5 percent of the voting shares in the telecommunications company and has said that gives him authority to replace the directors through a written resolution. Against Edward are the company itself and members of his own family, including his mother, Loretta Rogers, who filed an explosive affidavit on the matter on Friday.
Follow as Star business reporters Christine Dobby and Jeremy Nuttall tweet court details Monday afternoon.
