Calgary firefighters quickly put to work on Friday afternoon a garage roof fire in the Pineridge community.
Calgary Fire Department spokeswoman Carol Henke said roofers using a torch were at the scene when the fire broke out just after noon in the 60th block of 23 Ave. NE broke out
The flames originated on top of the garage, but spread to the interior structure of the roof before teams got it under control.
No one was injured.
Investigators are at the scene trying to determine if the cause of the fire is related to the work being done on the roof.
