Bolsa Mexicana posts weekly profit of 1.30%

The Mexican stock exchange (BMV) closed operations this Friday with a moderate advance. The Mexican stock market had a positive record, after a day with erratic movements, and the publication of the better-than-expected data for the non-farm payroll in the United States.

The benchmark index S&P/BMV IPC, made up of the securities of the 35 issuers with the highest value by capitalization and liquidity in Mexico, closed the negotiations with a profit of 0.20% at a level of 51,977.96 units. In the week it accumulated an advance of 1.30% from 51,309.84 points on Friday.

Within the benchmark, most of the components ended the day with losses: 23 of the stocks fell and 12 gained. The increases were led by Volaris, with 5.39%, while Cemex and América Móvil pushed the index, with 1.81% and 1.46%, respectively.
