James Wood, 27, disappeared on November 8, 2021, and his mother described to him that he had significant cognitive and physical difficulties, and had been concerned about his well-being for months.

“West Kelowna Mounted Police officers have contacted the man’s family and provided them with this tragic update,” said Cpl. Tammy Lobb, media relations officer for the Kelowna Regional RCMP, said in a press release. “Our thoughts are with the man’s family during this difficult time.”

At this time, RCMP said criminality is not suspected. The BC Coroners Service is also investigating to determine how, where, when and by what means he was killed.
