BMV and Biva outline second day of earnings; Walmex highlights

The Mexican stock exchange (BMV) operates with gains in the first operations of Wednesday. The local share market advances moderately for the second day, while investors wait to later know the minutes of the most recent meeting of the Federal Reserve US (Fed).

The benchmark index S&P/BMV IPC, made up of the shares of the 35 issuers with the highest value by capitalization and liquidity in Mexico, increases 0.16% and stands at 53,100.06 units. The index FTSE BIVA, the main of the Institutional Stock Exchange (Biva), moves 0.19% to settle at the level of 1,098.35 points.

Within the benchmark index, most of the components operate in positive territory, with 21 stocks in green, 12 in red, and two unchanged. Earnings so far this session are led by Walmex stocks, with 1.21%; Volaris, with 1.05%; Alsea, with 0.66%, and Grupo Televisa Unit, with 0.62 percent.
