BMV and Biva down marginally; Walmex and Televisa lead the losses


The Mexican stock exchange (BMV) loses marginally in early trading on Wednesday. The local stock market fell for the sixth consecutive day, with an erratic start in operations, due to persistent fears among investors of a weak performance of the global economy this year.

The index reference S&P/BMV IPC, made up of the 35 most traded shares in the Mexican market, also with capitalization criteria, moves -0.02% and stands at the level of 52,584.17 points. The index FTSE BIVAof the Institutional Stock Market (Biva), loses a marginal 0.01%, with 1,086.20 units.

Within the reference index, most of the components operate in the red, with 19 values ​​in negative and 16 in positive. The worst performances so far this day are those of two giants: Grupo Televisa Unit, with -2.23%; Walmex, with -2.12%, in addition to Grupo Financiero Inbursa, with -1.99 percent.
