BMV advances strongly in its fifth day of consecutive profits


The Mexican stock exchange (BMV) recorded a strong advance in the negotiations this Monday. The local stock market extended its streak of consecutive advances to five, led by the actions of the cement giant Cemex.

The index reference S&P/BMV IPC, made up of the 35 most traded shares in the country, rose 1.98% to 50,563.98 units. The index FTSE BIVAof the Institutional Stock Market (Biva), advanced 1.73% to a level of 1,044.50 points.

Within the benchmark index, most components ended the day with gains. The gains were headed by the titles of Cemex, with 5.33% and those of Grupo Financiero Inbursa, with 5.09 percent.

In the losses, the fall of 8.63% for the real estate investment trust Fibra Uno stood out, after a press report reported that two of its executives were denounced for alleged money laundering.
