BlackRock and Czech company SOLEK partner to build solar plants in Chile

The Czech energy company SOLEK reported Thursday that it partnered with the investment group BlackRock to cooperate in the construction of solar plants on Chile with a capacity of up to 200 megawatts.

SOLEK will build up to 28 individual solar plants and connect them to the grid through the Chilean program PMGD/PMG for distributed generation production, in an agreement between SOLEK Latam Holding and the Global Renewable Energy Fund III de BlackRock.

Until 2020, SOLEK, founded by Zdenek Sobotka in 2010, it had 40 megawatts of installed capacity at its solar power plants, the company said.
