The story continues below the ad.

Over the weekend, the British Columbia government confirmed that it has opened the registry for younger children to receive the Pfizer vaccine.

While Pfizer has asked Health Canada to approve its vaccine for children ages five to 11, the British Columbia government said it is getting its ducks in a row by the time that approval comes.

The province has said it will notify parents when it’s time to book an appointment for vaccination for children and it will be based on eligibility, not when they signed up.

This story will be updated after the press conference.
