Former US President Barack Obama announced Sunday that he had tested positive for Covid-19 after having mild symptoms, but said he felt “fine”.
“I just tested positive for covid,” the former president tweeted. “I had a scratchy throat for a few days, but otherwise I feel fine.”
His wife, Michelle Obama, received a negative test, he added. “Michelle and I are grateful to be vaccinated and to have received a booster dose,” added the former Democratic president, who called on the population to get vaccinated “even though cases are falling” in the country.

It’s a reminder to get vaccinated if you haven’t already, even as cases go down.
