The Mexican Army reported this Tuesday that he arrested in the state of Michoacan to an alleged leader of the drug trafficking required by US authorities.

In February, an armed group attacked attendees at a wake, killing the alleged head of a criminal group, according to the government. Local media indicated that the incursion would have left between 10 and 17 dead.
Mexico is immersed in a spiral of violence that has left some 340,000 dead —mostly attributed to actions by organized crime— since 2006 when an anti-drug strategy was deployed with the active participation of military forces.
