More countries have identified confirmed cases of the new variant of COVID-19 known as Omicron that are believed to be related to travel to southern Africa. Canada’s top doctor says it could only be a matter of time before we see the cases, and as Kristen Robinson reports, there are calls for our province to hold a public health briefing on the weekend.
