Argentine oil company YPF plans to double daily production in five years: CEO


The Argentine oil company YPF it plans to double its daily oil production in five years, its chief executive, Sergio Affronti, said on Monday.

“Our goal is to be able to double current oil production in 5 years,” explained the executive in a speech at the exhibition. Argentina Oil&Gas in Buenos Aires.

“Today YPF produces 220,000 barrels per day, we have a plan to produce 450,000 barrels per day by 2026,” he added.

Affronti highlighted the company’s recovery in production in 2021, after 2020 was “the most complex year in the company’s entire history.”
