Argentina suffers a primary fiscal deficit of 159 million dollars in January


Argentina recorded a primary fiscal deficit of 16,698 million pesos, equivalent to 159 million dollars in the first month of 2022said on Monday the Ministry of Economy.

He added that the financial result for January, which includes public debt paymentswas negative in 150,664 million pesos.

Argentina seeks to close against the clock a restructuring of more than 40,000 million dollars with the International Monetary Fund (IMF)amid conditions that include cutting public spending.

The South American country scored a primary fiscal red of 1.4 trillion pesos in 2021, equivalent to 3% of GDP.
