An organization dedicated to the cultivation and trafficking of marijuana falls in Valencia

National Police Agents they have disarticulated a criminal organization, based in Valencia and its province, allegedly dedicated to cultivation and trafficking of marijuana and money laundering. The operation has resulted in the arrest of eight men aged between 18 and 42 years. The detainees, all of them of Albanian origin and two of them with police records, have been brought to justice.

The operation has allowed the dismantling of two marijuana plantations in which More than 1,000 plants have been intervened with a total weight of 250 kilos, 4 kilos of vacuum-packed marijuana buds, 6,500 euros in cash, a vehicle and numerous material for the cultivation and processing of marijuana.

The investigations began in August by the UDYCO of Valencia, after learning that marijuana was possibly being cultivated in an apparently abandoned warehouse in the Valencian town of Catarroja, the National Police reported in a statement.

After a series of surveillance, the agents verified that the ship was visited sporadically and at different times by several men who were taking security measures while traveling. However, the investigation was turned upside down when these people dismantled the ship and disappeared.

After a series of investigations, the agents located these people again in two houses in the city of Valencia, as well as two new properties: a warehouse in Quart de Poblet and a villa in the town of Godelleta that met the requirements to host ‘indoor’ marijuana plantations. On this last property, the Godelleta Local Police provided information for the investigators.

Stratified organization

The organization was perfectly stratified. Thus, the caretakers of the plantations lived next to them in a very precarious way and without being able to leave the enclosure. The next step was limited to providing food and material support to the latter. These people, on the other hand, led a high standard of living.

Faced with the possibility that those investigated would once again dismantle the facilities, the police carried out separate searches. The entry and search of the ship was carried out with the participation of the GOES group, because the large dimensions and compartmentalization of the ship made securing it especially difficult.

Inside they found two perfectly installed marijuana plantations and a third in process. The plantations were guarded by two young men aged 18 and 19 who lived in very precarious conditions and whose passport had been withdrawn by the organization. Both tried to flee when they were surprised by the agents and were finally intercepted.
