Monterey, NL. President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said this morning that during the meeting he held with the governor of Nuevo León, Samuel Garcia Sepulvedainformed him that the state will receive an increase in its shares of 10,000 million pesos in relation to last year.
“It is a considerable increase in participation, they will have more budget (…) in relation to last year”, emphasized the Federal Executive.
In this regard, the governor of Nuevo León commented at a press conference that in addition to the support that the state will receive for strategic projects such as finishing the liberty dam and start with the first stage of the suburban train, in this meeting were not the only topics seen.
“There is good news in financial matters, because the price of oil rose, that component is contemplated in the participations, and more should be given to Nuevo León because in the 2020 Census, the population has an increase of almost 140,000 foreigners, more the natality. Finally, it was taken into account and justice is being given to Nuevo León,” said the state president.
The state of Nuevo León has a population of 5 million 784,442 people, the municipalities with the largest number of people are: Monterrey with 1 million 142,994; Apodaca with 656,464 inhabitants and Guadalupe with 643,143 people, according to the 2020 Population and Housing Census of the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (inegi).
