Amherstburg man charged with drug trafficking

Windsor police charged an Amherstburg man with drug trafficking following a residential search earlier this week.

During a drug trafficking investigation launched this month, police identified a suspect and an involved residence in the city of Amherstburg.

Police received a warrant to search the residence in the 300 block of Victoria Street, which they executed on Tuesday.

On the same day, the suspect was located and arrested without incident in the 400 block of Sandwich Street South.

As a result of the search, the police seized several illicit drugs and a quantity of cash. Among the seized drugs are fentanyl, cocaine, psilocybin, oxycodone, Adderall, LSD and crystalline methamphetamine.

Kevin Fillault, 42, of Amherstburg, is charged with nine counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
