Alonso Ancira anticipates first payment to Pemex for Agro Nitrogenados case

The agreement was signed by Rodrigo Loustanau Martínez, for Pemex; José Eduardo Ancira Elizondo, president of Grupo Acerero del Norte; Alonso Ancira Elizondo, accused, president of the Board of Directors of Grupo Acerero del Norte and attorney-in-fact for the testamentary succession of Manuel Arturo Ancira Elizondo; Maria Erlinda Ancira Elizondo, shareholder of Grupo Acerero del Norte; Juan Zúñiga Cacheux and Francisco Castillo Pérez, trustees of the Grupo Acerero del Norte Trust with Banca Affirme for the purpose of paying the amount established in the agreement.

Faced with this reparatory agreement, the judge in the case ordered the suspension of the criminal proceedings against Ancira for the crime of operations with resources of illicit origin, and later the businessman of Mexican-American nationality was released.

It should be noted that the suspension of the procedure implies that the freedom of Ancira It is conditioned to fully comply with its commitments to repair the damage, since, otherwise, the corresponding criminal procedure will continue. The judge may only order the termination of criminal action, once all the obligations agreed in the reparatory agreement are fulfilled.

Lozoya appeals for Odebrecht and Agro Nitrogenados

On the other hand, the defense of the former director of Petróleos Mexicanos, Emilio Lozoya Austin, appealed the prison issued by Judge José Artemio Zúñiga Mendoza for the cases of Odebrecht and AgroNitrogenados.

The legal remedies filed by the defense were for the justified preventive detention that was ordered in hearings on November 3 and 10.

A Unitary Circuit Court shall decide whether or not the imprisonment prevails against Lozoya.

Defense of Lozoya remains firm in its intention to reach a reparation agreement with Pemex with the payment of about 216 million 664,000 dollars through a company incorporated in USA.
