Alliance runs record to 3-2 with win Sunday over Guelph Nighthawks

The expansion Montreal Alliance boosted its record in the Canadian Elite Basketball League to 3-2 with a 94-74 win over the Guelph Nighthawks on Sunday at Verdun Auditorium.

Dominic Green led the Alliance with 22 points, followed by Isiah Osborne with 20 and co-captain Kemy Ossé with 14.

Ahmed Hill led Guelph with 25 and former North Carolina State star Cat Barber had 14.

The win before 3,015 fans gave the Alliance a perfect 3-0 record at home.

On Friday, the Niagara River Lions took a 26-11 lead in the first quarter and broke to an 87-62 win over the Alliance in St. Catharines, Ont.

Antonio Davis Jr. led the River Lions with 15 points, while Khalil Ahmad added 14.

Green and Osborne each had 15 to lead the Alliance.
