The protesters had been in the camp for more than a week opposing the COVID-19 vaccine mandates and raising awareness of the injustices indigenous communities face.
Nine people were arrested for not leaving the grounds and all received a notice to appear in court for violating the Crown Property Regulations. They are also barred from the property for 60 days, according to Jason van Rassel, a spokesman for the Alberta Attorney General and Office of Justice.
He added that two more people were turned over to the Edmonton Police Service (EPS).
One person was detained for resisting arrest and the other had outstanding arrest warrants, Cheryl Sheppard, a spokeswoman for EPS, told Postmedia.
Throughout the day on Monday, protesters chanted, waved flags, drummed and spoke with officers at the scene.

Officers began covering the perimeter of the lawn where protesters set up camp at around 1:40 p.m. Monday. All tents were removed, debris cleared, and only five teepees remained standing Monday night.
“The bailiffs were there to ensure the safety of the workers and protesters, and to dismiss the protesters under the authority of the Crown Property Regulations. The camp was completely removed and Alberta Infrastructure is assessing the damage to the site, ”van Rassel said.
Although people can peacefully protest on the grounds of the legislature, the Crown Property Regulations prohibit residing, camping, or sleeping on the grounds overnight.
A court order was issued on Friday allowing officers to take the necessary steps to dismantle the camp.
