On April 15 just before 8:30 pm, police were called about a robbery in progress at a gas station in the 32400-block of South Fraser Way.

Investigators were told a man in his 30s, who had covered his face, and was wearing dark pants, a light-coloured shirt and a gray hat, had entered the store brandishing a gun. The robber demanded money and then ran off.

Two days later, at around 6 pm, police were again called about a gas station robbery, this time in the 33800-block of Essendene Avenue.

A man described as being 6-foot, with a medium build, blond hair and dark clothing, entered the store in a similar fashion, with his face covered and with a firearm, and demanded money before running off.

Abbotsford’s major crime investigators have released surveillance footage of a person from the April 15 robbery.

Anyone who may have witnessed either robbery, or who may have dashcam footage from these areas before or after the incidents, are asked to contact police at 604-859-5225.
