A person is linked to the process for the homicide of a member of the National Guard


Valentín “V” was linked to a trial for his probable participation in the homicide described as premeditated, treacherous and advantageous, against Eduardo Chacón Rivas, an element of the National Guard. He was also linked to carrying a firearm without a license and stockpiling firearms.

On March 7, elements of the National Guard (GN) detained Valentín “V”, after moments before he had deprived Eduardo Chacón of his life with firearm shots.

According to the investigation, the element of the National Guard carried out routes on kilometer 38 + 700, of highway 175, at the height of the deviation to the town of San Pedro Mártir in Ocotlán, oaxaca, when he noticed the passing of a taxi carrying Valentín Vásquez Aragón. The uniformed officer stopped him, but the driver fired at the element to avoid the search and later fled.

He was later arrested by elements of the GN, and the vehicle was secured a firearm, 9 metal magazines, one of them with three cartridges; a military green backpack in which 10 receivers with a firing mechanism and butts for a firearm were located, as well as 10 cannons with a mechanism for said weapons.

The Federal Public Ministry (MPF), provided the evidence that allowed the Control Judge to obtain the link to the process against Valentín Vásquez. The accused was imposed as a precautionary measure, informal preventive detention that he will serve in the Federal Center for Social Readaptation number 13, in Miahuatlán, Oaxaca. Five months were granted to close the complementary investigation.

The General Prosecutor of the Republic (FGR) achieved this connection to the process through the Specialized Regional Control Prosecutor’s Office (FECOR), in its Oaxaca Delegation.
