A pedophile guilty of criminal harassment

Pedophile Robert Perron, who wanted to change his name on the sly to no longer be recognized, has just been found guilty of criminal harassment for a second time against his ex-spouse from whom he nevertheless separated Eight years.

The pedophile Robert Perron, who had been talked about in 2018 when he wanted to change his identity, found himself again in court. Divorced since 2013, the 40-year-old continues to harass his ex-spouse, not hesitating to wish her death, and he called her a “scum” in court.

Sentenced to a 54-month sentence for luring and sexual contact with four teenagers in 2014, Robert Perron found himself in 2018 in a position of authority over minors under the age of 16 while acting as manager in a restaurant. He had introduced himself as Robert Lévesque at his job interview and had taken steps to change his name with the Civil Registry.

Now separated for eight years from his ex-spouse, Robert Perron seems unable to move on. The one who had already been convicted of criminal harassment two years after his breakup began to harass the victim again in the summer of 2021.

Threatening emails showing that the accused is researching his victim and episodes where she meets the accused in public places led to a charge of criminal harassment. Perron was also sufficiently threatening towards the principal of his children’s school for the latter to file a complaint of criminal harassment.

Insult in court

Arrested and imprisoned, Robert Perron did not hesitate to make unflattering comments about the victim until the courtroom. Before the Court, he let go that the victim “deserves to be killed” in addition to calling her a “scumbag”.

Judge Hélène Bouillon could only note that the accused maintained “a deep resentment towards the victim”.

The “choice to attack the victim even in the courtroom” is a “worrying” behavior which must be sanctioned more severely according to the judge. Perron was therefore sentenced to 20 months in prison for the acts of harassment and will have to refrain from any communication with his ex-spouse for three years, in particular because of the significant risk of recidivism.
