In Canada, the booster dose is recommended for immunosuppressed people. Patrick Meunier, the son of the patient at the Roberval hospital, struggles to understand why the hospital could not inject a fourth dose to his mother since, according to him, she found herself in the category of vulnerable people.

“We would have to take her out and then go to a vaccination center,” indignant Mr. Meunier about the lack of vaccine in the establishment where his mother is.

“There are COVID-19 patients around her. Knowing this, I will give her a fourth dose, if she asks me. I understand that there is a risk, but for my mother, this risk is less compared to the risk of surviving by contracting the virus”.

Her son would have preferred her to receive a fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine instead of contracting the virus.
