A child injured by excavation equipment left in Notre-Dame-de-Foy Park

A child was reportedly injured by excavation equipment left by a contractor in Notre-Dame-de-Foy Park located on Jacques-Berthiaume Street in Quebec City.

According to witnesses, young people of about 11 or 12 years old would have climbed on the bucket, an equipment going to the end of a hydraulic shovel and would have made it tip over.

One of the children’s legs reportedly got stuck under the equipment.

Panic would have set in and people would have immediately informed the parents who went there. They would have tried to get the youngster out of his awkward position, but it would ultimately be the firefighters and the paramedics who managed to extricate the child from his awkward position. Wounded in the legs, he would have been taken to the hospital, but we do not know his state of health.

More details to come.
