The Mexican media giant Grupo Televisa y la estadounidense Univision is preparing to launch in the first half of 2022 when the mayor takes office World Cup streaming platform in Spanish, after selling the lunes an agreement for a joint venture, i.e. an executive.

The new company, TelevisaUnivision, will combine cadence content to reach a global audience of 600 million Spanish people.

A version of the streaming platform supported by publicity will be available during the first semester of this year and the product based on subscription will be launched in the second half, affirmed by Alfonso de Angoitia, CEO of Televisa, in an interview with Reuters.

The streaming platform, without any number, will enter a campo full of competitors, like Prime Video, de Amazon; Disney +, Disney, y Netflixthat it was announced last year that it would collect 300 million dollars in original Mexican productions.

Angoitia, who is in charge of TelevisionUnivision’s directorate, insists that the platform differentiate the rest, distancing the huge Television content library and sports broadcasting rights.

“We will find a competitor fierz”, sentence, adding that at least a new movie or series of “high quality” series will be published every week at the first subscription service.

The clients of Mexico and the United States will be the first to access the platform before it is deployed in other countries of Latin America and Spain.

A kind of territorial war is being wiped out by the public TelevisaUnivision in April.

Television attracted Netflix, Disney Plus and other executives. The competitors will look for great stars, as the Mexican company will establish more attractive and exclusive contracts with the talent, Dijo De Angoitia.

Effective competence

The creation of the accord TelevisaUnivision is currently producing a tumultuous week in the telecommunications industry in Mexico.

“In the telecommunications sector we have seen an effective competence (…) is not currently in the process of moving to the US Movement”, said De Angoitia, adding that the IFT “could do more” to regulate competence.

America Móvil’s incursion into payroll television, which dominates mobile and internet telephony services, is “every more difficult to compete”, aggregate.

TelevisaUnivision’s operation is financially financed by a preferred Series C inversion of 1,000 million dollars collected by SoftBank Latin America Fund, with the participation of ForgeLight, The Raine Group y Google , which also collaborates with technology and engineers.
