Ontario Provincial Police say a man was charged with driving while intoxicated and officers found several empty beer cans inside the vehicle.
Police said Mississauga OPP officers stopped a white Nissan pickup traveling south on Highway 410 to Highway 401 eastbound around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Officers said the driver had cans of alcoholic beverages, labeled Crest Super, a premium lager beer, all over the interior.
In addition, the driver also failed the road test.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated for having a blood alcohol content of more than 80 milligrams. The driver’s license was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Police could not confirm whether the driver had just consumed the specific beers found inside the Nissan, but they did confirm that the driver had alcohol in his system.
