The main indices of the US stock market have mixed performances this Monday. Indices Dow Jones and S&P 500 advance, while the Nasdaq it recedes marginally, while investors maintain their preference for companies in sectors resistant to inflation.
The market reference, the S&P 500, made up of the shares of the 500 most solid issuers, moved 0.11% to 4,688.08 units. The Dow Jones, which make up 30 industrial giants, rises 0.27% to 36,198.32 points. The NasdaqDespite its high technological weight, it lost -0.07% to 15,850.60 points.
Some of the great technological values stand out on the day, since concern about inflation causes investors to position themselves on more economically resistant sectors. Within the S&P, the communication technology and services sectors are the best performers.
Shares of Meta Platforms Inc, formerly Facebook, led earnings among large-cap tech firms, up more than 2.5 percent. Tesla Inc, another of the large technology broadcasters, has a performance contrary to that of its peers in the sector, falling -3.58 percent.
