This is where Alberta’s Mobile COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic on Wheels is headed this week | The Canadian News

As the push to vaccinate as many Albertans as possible continues, the province’s mobile vaccination clinic will be in multiple communities this week.

Launched in July, the COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic on Wheels is a joint effort between Alberta Health and a coalition of companies.

The clinic, located inside a large bus, targets people from rural communities, hard-to-reach populations, workplaces and other places where vaccine uptake is low. It is capable of providing up to 300 vaccines per day.

“Vaccines offer the best protection against COVID-19,” Health Minister Tyler Shandro said in a news release Monday morning.

“While there are many ways for Albertans to take the hit, our mobile clinic seizes the opportunity directly for the people where they work and hang out.”

Mobile COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Launched for Workplaces and Rural Communities in Alberta – July 22, 2021

Businesses and communities can request a visit to the mobile vaccination clinic. You can find more information about the process online.

COVID-19 vaccines are available to all Albertans ages 12 and older. Appointments can be booked online or by calling 811.

As of September 9, 70.9 percent of Albertans age 12 and older were fully vaccinated with two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. That represents about 60.3 percent of the total population.
