Alberta Man Faces Assault Charges After Health Worker Pushed Him At Charlottetown Airport | The Canadian News

A 35-year-old Alberta man was charged with assault after a health worker at the Charlottetown airport was pushed around early Thursday morning.

Charlottetown police say a man and woman who were passengers on an incoming flight refused to go through the Covid-19 screening center at the airport.

They say the man allegedly pushed aside a health worker, bypassed the control area and left the airport.

The couple were later located and arrested by the police.

The man has been charged with assault, while he and the 41-year-old woman accompanying him were fined $ 1,050 each in violation of the Public Health Law.
