4 mobile applications to find a restaurant that Mobile participants will appreciate

  • These ‘apps’ will help you find the establishment that best suits your tastes and needs, whether or not you visit the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona

Now that it is celebrated Mobile World Congress 2022, technology lovers have work to do with as many novelties as there will be at the fair. But you should forget about eating, so we invite you to use mobile technology to make good restaurant choices. For them (and for anyone who has a mobile and is a gourmet or is hungry and doesn’t know where to go) is this article: 4 applications to choose a restaurant.

Velada is an application that was supported by the Basque Culinary Center in its accelerator for emerging companies, which is a guarantee of seriousness. Aimed at 100% digitalized ‘foodies’, it has contextual filters (the selection of restaurants can be made by type of food, geolocation, if they have a covered terrace or are suitable for a first date) that can be combined to find a certain type of place in a certain area with a certain average ticket.

It allows you to check availability in the chosen establishments and its interaction model is based on ‘swipes’ when choosing a restaurant, the same language used by Instagram Stories or Tinder. It focuses on medium and high ticket restaurants in Madrid and Barcelona. Available for iOS and Android.

This ‘app’ whose team is made up of young professionals from different sectors related to gastronomy, marketing, technology and graphic design, is distinguished by its intention to take more care of the restaurateur, who usually pays high commissions to get more clients, and for offering an engaging user experience.

Yippin users can search for their favorite restaurant based on their location, the type of food, the offers, the ratings of other users… They can choose payment options, order drinks from the table without waiting for the waiter, follow the delivery process live, share opinions about the courier, the food and the restaurant with your contacts, receive personalized offers… And you can always receive notifications related to new offers, promotions and coupons on your mobile.

This allows restaurants to have a more direct relationship with customers. For professionals, Yippin is a free application in the first phase, with commissions five times lower than the competition in the second and that are only charged for the orders received.
