3 youth face charges for theft at variety stores in Hamilton – Hamilton | The Canadian News

Three teens are facing charges for a series of commercial armed robberies in downtown Hamilton, according to police.

Investigators say the three teens, who are between 14 and 15 years old, are charged with armed robbery that included a gun and a knife.

The first of the incidents occurred on November 25 when the teens allegedly robbed a variety store at gunpoint on King Street West and Caroline Street.

A convenience store on Main Street East and Victoria Avenue was the second point of sale attacked on November 30 when two of the teens entered the store with a knife.

A teenager faces five charges related to robbery, intimidation and parole violations.

Two others face crimes that include robbery and use of a weapon to intimidate.

Young people accused of crimes cannot be identified under Canadian law.
