24-year-old woman in critical condition after being stabbed in downtown Montreal

Police said the victim was stabbed multiple times in the upper body and authorities fear for his life.

A 24-year-old woman is in critical condition after being stabbed in downtown Montreal on Tuesday.

According to Montreal police, the stabbing followed an altercation between the victim and the suspect at the corner of Aylmer and Milton Sts., Near McGill University, around 4:30 p.m.

Police quickly arrested the suspect near the scene. The man, in his 30s, will meet with police investigators overnight.

Police said the victim was stabbed multiple times in the upper body and authorities fear for his life.
