- Donald Trump urged the Republican Party to ‘get rid’ of 17 members who voted to impeach him, including Mitt Romney and Liz Cheney
- Trump named the 17 Republicans who voted to impeach him by name
- “Get rid of all of them,” said the former president
Former President Donald Trump spoke Sunday at the Conservative Political Action Conference and demanded that the Republican Party get rid of all 17 members, including Mitt Romney and Liz Cheney, who voted to impeach him in the impeachment, he reported. The Daily Mail.
In his first speech since his term ended on January 20, Trump reviewed his four-year government and what he called “incompetence” of the new Joe Biden administration.
Likewise, Trump took the opportunity to repudiate the 17 Republicans, including 7 senators and 10 members of the House, who voted against him to impeach him.
Trump mentioned each of the 17 Republicans by name and emphasized that Liz Cheney was a “warmonger” who “loves to see our troops fight.”
“Instead of attacking me and, more importantly, the voters of our movement, the party’s top Republicans in Washington should spend their energy opposing Biden, Pelosi, Schumer and the Democrats,” Trump said.
“If the Republicans do not stick together, the RINOs (Republicans in name only) with whom we are surrounded will destroy the Republican Party,” added the former president.
Trump also indicated that the “good news” is that Cheney’s approval rating was falling.
“Their poll numbers have dropped faster than any human I’ve ever seen,” he said. “Hopefully they get rid of it in the next election. Get rid of all of them, ”he said.

“We cannot have leaders who show more passion for condemning their fellow citizens than they have ever shown for standing up to the Democrats, the media and the radicals who want to turn the United States into a socialist country,” he said.
Former President Trump also reaffirmed this Sunday that he was not defeated at the polls in 2020 and assured that he does not intend to create a new party, but that the united Republican Party will be stronger than ever and will win the mid-term elections in 2022 and in the presidential elections of 2024.
“Actually, as you know, (the Democrats) just lost the White House, but it’s one of those things, but who knows, who knows. I can even decide to beat them a third time, ”Trump said at the beginning of a long-awaited speech at the closing of the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Florida.
“No matter how much the Washington establishment and powerful special interests want to silence us, let there be no doubt. We will be victorious and the United States will be stronger and bigger than ever ”, he stressed before an audience clearly on his part.
