If the president Donald trump wins his re-election will do a cleanup in the Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense.
The president will proceed to immediately fire the director of the FBI, Christopher Wray, to the director of the CIA, Gina haspel, and the Secretary of Defense, Mark Esper, according to a report by Axios.
The changes in the president’s team will not be limited to those adjustments, two sources indicated to the portal, but it would be the beginning.
According to the report, the president does not support any of the leaders of the Intelligence Community, as they “restrict them to enact desired policies or to persecute enemies”.
The report adds that President Trump signed an executive order that would allow him to easily fire career government officials, who hold key positions in the FBI, CIA and other agencies.
“Haspel’s view in the West Wing is that he still sees his job as manipulating people and results, the way he must when working with assets in the field.”said a source. “It has generated a lot of suspicion about his motives.”
President Trump has no immediate plans on the attorney general William Barr, but reports indicate that he is upset with him, because he did not publish before the elections “an explosive report from the federal prosecutor John Durham” on the management of the administration of Barack Obama of the Trump-Russia investigation.
