Latinos in favor of Joe Biden come to vote on horseback in Nevada | The NY Journal

Supporters of Joe Biden paraded this Saturday on horseback to show their support for the Democratic candidate for the presidency of the United States.

Videos published by Voto Latino show a long caravan of ranchers on horseback. Voters were heading to a polling station at the Walnut Recreation Center in Las Vegas. The event was called “Cavalcade to the polls.”

Men and women participated in the event, some of them in typical costumes.

Some 645,000 people have voted early in Nevada, according to data added up to this Sunday. This is 57% of the votes that were counted in 2016.

At the event there was also time for speeches and artistic performances. Everything was done following the protocols to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Nevada is one of the states with the greatest demographic changes in recent years. The Latino vote has been central to recent statewide Democratic victories.

Early voting has characterized the 2020 elections. Just under 59 million people have cast their vote, representing 42% of the total counted in 2016 just nine days before the November 3 elections.
