The Giants are reassuring about CJ Board

New York Giants wide receiver CJ Board avoided the worst on Sunday in his own victory over the Washington football team, as he had to be carried off the field on a stretcher and to the hospital.

Head coach Joe Judge said he had received “fairly positive” news during his post-game press conference. “It’s a great relief”.

According to ESPN, Board reportedly suffered no serious injuries to his neck or spine. For his part, wide receiver Darius Slayton has even indicated that he believes his teammate will be discharged from the hospital in the evening.

The event in question occurred at the start of the third quarter. Board was attempting to catch the ball when it was tackled by an opposing player. The 26-year-old athlete collapsed to the ground and remained there, motionless, for long minutes.

“The only thing I can say, from a positive point of view, is that even on the pitch he was aware and responding to us,” added Judge. He could move his extremities. Obviously, [l’équipe médicale] had to take several precautions due to the situation. ”

In his first season with the New York organization, Board caught seven balls for gains of 64 yards. He was also a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Baltimore Ravens, Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns earlier in his career.
