Two people were taken to hospital after a fire Saturday night in Toronto.

In a tweet, Toronto police said officers received reports of a fire in the Warden Avenue and Danforth Avenue areas.

According to Toronto Fire, the incident took place at a car body shop.

Cars were apparently on fire inside and outside the store.

The fire, which was initially considered an alarm of two fires, has been upgraded to a third alarm due to reports of explosions, Toronto Fire said.

Toronto paramedics told Global News two people were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
