Two people are facing charges in connection with a fatal April collision in Haldimand County that killed 23-year-old Alexander Dalton, according to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

Investigators say Dalton was riding a motorcycle prior to an accident involving a pickup truck and SUV around 9 p.m. April 23 on King Street West in Hagersville.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The investigation, thus far, has determined that the motorcyclist was traveling westbound on King Street West near Sarah Street when he was struck by a blue 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV heading west, resulting in the motorcyclist being ejected,” said the OPP in a statement the day after the incident. shock.

The OPP says the defendants are 25 years old from Oshweken, Ontario, and one faces a crime of public mischief and the other is charged with being an accessory after the fact.
