The Consar enables marriage withdrawals through Afore Móvil

The National Commission of the Retirement Savings System (Consar) reported that it will now be possible to access a marriage withdrawal through the Afore Mobile application, this means that it will no longer be necessary to go to the branch of a retirement fund manager (afore).

“Today the application for Help for Marriage Expenses IMSS, which allows workers affiliated to said Institute, or who were once and that they entered into a civil marriage after July 1, 1997, can withdraw resources from their Individual Account in a simple way “, detailed the Consar it’s a statement.

To qualify for this new mechanism it is necessary to have the biometric file, have at least 150 weeks contributed to the IMSS before the date of civil marriage, be active in social security or, have married civilly within 90 business days from the time off work.

The Consar clarifies that when processing the retirement by marriage Contribution weeks will not be deducted, unlike a partial retirement due to unemployment.

Steps to request a marriage withdrawal

The regulator detailed in a simple way the steps to follow to process the withdrawal by marriage. First you must enter the application Afore Mobile and select the Services menu.

The interested party must then enter the option “Withdrawals” and select “Withdrawal by IMSS Marriage”. Once the previous step has been selected, the app will ask you to capture a photograph of your face to confirm your identity, as well as to capture the CLABE account to deposit the money.

Afore Móvil will ask you to capture the information of your marriage certificate, current official identification and bank account statement, in case you have requested payment by CLABE account. Finally, you will need to sign the application with your password.

After filling out the form, the afore and the IMSS will validate the request and they will be delivered within a maximum period of 5 business days.
