Search continues for missing 15-year-old girl in Eastern Townships

Police say they believe the girl might be in danger and are urging residents to check their backyards and sheds.

The search for a 15-year-old girl missing since Saturday afternoon resumed Tuesday in Magog Township in Eastern Townships.

Coralie Lessard was last seen at her family’s home in Magog’s Omerville sector around 4 p.m., when she left the home.

In interviews with local media, the girl’s mother said Coralie was in a good mood when she left the house and there was no indication that she had run away. Anne Lessard said her daughter frequently walks the bike path that leads to Sherbrooke.

Meanwhile, a group of hunters said they saw the girl in that area about an hour after she left her home.

Local police say they believe the girl might be in danger and are urging residents to check their backyards and sheds to make sure she is not sheltering there.

Coralie Lessard is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs around 100 pounds. He has blue eyes and long blonde hair. At the time of her disappearance she was wearing a black padded coat, a black hoodie, black leggings and black boots. He was carrying a headlamp.
