The Raptors will play their first home playoff game in Toronto since June 2019 next Thursday night.
After opening their best-of-seven NBA first-round series in Philadelphia with Game 1 on Saturday and Game 2 on Monday, Toronto will host Game 3 at the Scotiabank Arena on Thursday, April 21 at 8 pm, the league announced.
Game 4 will be in Toronto on Saturday, April 23 at 2 pm
This will be the third series between the Eastern Conference rivals. The Sixers won a seven-game conference semifinal in 2001, while the Raptors won a seven-game conference semifinal in 2019 on the Kawhi Leonard four-bounce buzzer beater on their way to the only NBA championship in franchise history.
Game 5, if necessary, will be in Philadelphia on Monday, April 25; Game 6 back in Toronto on Thursday, April 28 and Game 7 in Philadelphia on Saturday, April 30.
The last time the Raptors hosted a playoff game was June 10, 2019 when they lost Game 5 of the NBA Finals to the Golden State Warriors.
They finished the COVID-interrupted 2019-20 season in the league’s Orlando bubble, losing a seven-game, second-round series to the Boston Celtics and did not make the playoffs last year after playing the entire season in Tampa.
