A poll revealed Monday by Monmouth University shows former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe with a slight lead in the elections of that entity over Republican Glenn Youngkin; however, the distance between one and the other is minimal.
The context: It will be next year when Virginia elects governor, a figure who will take the witness of Democrat Ralph Northam. In McAuliffe’s case, the old acquaintance aspires to resume office and maintain party dominance in the state for another four years.

The data: 48% of those polled demonstrated their support for McAuliffe, who would return to the post of Governor of Virginia if this trend continues. Meanwhile, 43% of study participants supported Republican Youngkin.
- The numbers have shown a minimal change compared to August, when support for the Democrat was 47%.
- The biggest difference is in the north of the state, where the Democrat has 58% of the support for 29% of his rival.
