Toronto police say a man who was wanted in connection with a murder in January was arrested in Los Angeles, California.

It was on January 31 at 8:56 p.m. when officers responded to reports of shooting in the area of ​​Jane Street and Falstaff Avenue.

Police said a man was trying to drive his car into a building’s underground parking lot when he was shot multiple times. Due to a gunshot, the vehicle rolled towards the closed parking garage doors.

The victim, identified as Hashim Omar Hashi, 20, was found unconscious in the driver’s seat and pronounced dead at the scene.

Several months later, on October 7, Hassan Ali, 22, was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department in California on a provisional US warrant.
