Former official of the Autonomous University of Edomex must pay more than 41 million pesos per case Master Scam: TFJA

The Federal Administrative Court of Justice (TFJA) ruled this Wednesday that Erick Herzain Torres Mulhia, a former official of the Autonomous Mexico State University (UAEM), must pay 41 million 313,943 pesos and 74 cents for damage to the public treasury, derived from its participation in the so-called Master Scam.

Judge Víctor Martín Orduña, who presented the case of the contentious-administrative judgment 3420 / 20-17139 / 657 / 21PL0804, indicated that Torres Mulhia challenged the initial resolution that found him guilty of fraudulent hiring, however, said appeal was considered unfounded.

In this sense, he stated that Superior Audit of the Federation (ASF) analyzed through its specialized areas a total of 44 tests that it listed as well as the facts that emerged from them.

“It (the ASF) indicated, in each case, if they were valued as public or private documentary evidence and cited the legal basis on which said assessment was made, concluding that the plaintiff was responsible for causing damage to the federal public Treasury in the amount of 41 million 313,943.74 pesos derived from the subcontracting carried out ”, he said.

Torres Mulhia, who served as director of the UAEM Scientific and Technological Research Promotion and Development Fund, argued in his appeal that the Superior Audit of the Federation in its initial determinations violated the principle of presumption of innocence.

It was unanimously that the magistrates of the Superior Chamber of the TFJA resolved that the former official must pay the more than 41 million pesos.
